Over 60 coaches from 24 different organizations within Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. were in attendance for the NVTBL’s second annual organization leader banquet last night at the Chantilly National Golf Club.

The banquet offered a networking opportunity for NVTBL coaches to meet with staff, members of the NVTBL’s Pro Advisory Committee and other local high school and youth coaches. Executive director Rob Hahne then spoke to all the coaches on topics relating to the league and growing the game of baseball in Northern Virginia.

At the conclusion of the dinner, each table discussed various topics on how to improve the league and provide a better experience for our teams and families. Coaches also had the opportunity to discuss ways of improving the level of play in the area and creating more competitive ballplayers.

The feedback and information shared by former MLB players, Pro Advisory members, current and retired high school coaches and youth coaches and leaders will not only enable the league to improve, but the future of the game in our community.

“It was amazing to have so many people from different coaching and leadership backgrounds all in the same room to help make the game that we all love better!” Hahne said. “Our goal at NVTBL is to get better every year, month, week, day. This league is here for our players, coaches, teams and families and input and feedback is critical for all of us to improve our league and the game of baseball in general.”
