Former Toronto Blue Jays mental coach Steve Springer and ABCA college liaison Jeremy Sheetinger were headline speakers for over 500 coaches from Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. at NVTBL’s annual coaches clinic this past Sunday in Sterling.
Springer spoke at two hitting workshops over the weekend, giving insights into the mental side of hitting with lessons on how to compete with more confidence and develop a more complete approach at the plate. Sheetinger then took the stage on Sunday and spoke to coaches about using failures as teaching points and the positive impact a coach can have on a particular player and team.
NVTBL pro advisory committee members Mark “Pudge” Gjormand, Andy Bradley, Aaron Tarr, Eric Crozier, Nick Sussman, Jason Troilo, John Dowling and Mark Wrighte also spoke on a various topics in a breakout session for coaches on Sunday afternoon. Hitting, team defense, base running, catching, incorporating technology in baseball and organizational management were all topics covered in the sessions.
Springer is offering a deal for all NVTBL coaches. Enter promo code “DC40” at qualityatbats.com and receive his bundle of audio, video and book for only $40 until April 1.

Thank you @NVTBLBaseball For having me speak yesterday on tech, data, and baseball. Every year that’s a bigger room!

Tks @NVTBLBaseball for having me speak @ the coach clinic. Appreciate the opportunity but candidly, I too love listening to the other presenters & it's cool to see Olms who just won a state championship take notes in sessions, former pro player Crozier listen to Pudge speak, etc.
